FOREIGN NATIONAL STUDENT INTERN PROGRAM ANNOUNCEMENT

Opening Date: September 1, 2023; Closing Date: September 22, 2023
Duration of Internship: 6 months
Work Hours: 10-20 hours per week
Compensation: There is no compensation for volunteer work.

The U.S. Embassy in Yerevan, Armenia is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Intern in the Health Unit (HU) section.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintains an up-to-date roster and contact list of local health providers as well as reference maps, email, phone numbers and addresses and available CV
Filing, labeling, and organizing of archived files
Draft correspondence and answer phone calls
Provides administrative support for health promotion activities and trainings
Inventory, labeling and organizing of medical and office supplies Organizing manuals for medical equipment
Other clerical duties as assigned
Comply with confidentiality requirements of health unit

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Background in business, office administration, or medical assistant is preferred.
Must have Level III (Good Working Knowledge) in English and level IV (fluent) in Armenian.
Must be computer literate.
Must possess general office management skills.
Should be discreet, responsible, flexible, detail-oriented, able to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.

WHO MAY APPLY:

Non-U.S. citizen student in good academic standing at his/her current educational institution.
Must be a continuing student upon completion of the internship.
Able to demonstrate the potential to accomplish the type of work to be performed. Must be at least 18 years of age;
After selection, the student must receive security and medical clearances.
