Message to U.S. Citizens: Update on Flights

The U.S. Embassy in Armenia continues to receive inquiries from U.S. citizens regarding return travel to the United States.

At this time, the only operating commercial route the Embassy is aware of from Armenia is to Minsk on Belavia Belarusian Airlines. From Yerevan, passengers can transit Minsk to reach several European capital cities served by Belavia, including Frankfurt, Paris, Amsterdam, Rome, and London. Passengers must book separate onward travel from these cities to the United States.

You can find more information on transit through Minsk on the COVID-19 Information Page maintained by the U.S. Embassy in Belarus.

The Embassy encourages all interested passengers to contact Belavia directly with questions and check with the airlines to book onward travel from Europe to the United States. Passengers should check relevant transit information for each country and airport they will transit, as well as the U.S. Embassy Covid-19 Information Pages maintained by the embassies in the countries they will transit.

The U.S. Embassy will continue to provide updates on potential commercial flight routes from Armenia as this information becomes available. Please be aware that there are no plans for another U.S. government-chartered flight from Armenia at this time.

Please make sure you are enrolled in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program to receive alerts and ensure you can be located in an emergency, and encourage U.S. citizen friends or family members to also enroll.  Keep checking the U.S. Embassy Yerevan COVID-19 Notice for up-to-date information on COVID-19 in Armenia.  U.S. citizens may also email us at: acsyerevan@state.gov.
